Kerala shaped hole:

I reckon I’ve come to a stage where I need to transcribe as much of the travel entries. I’m doing this whenever I get time, here’s something I found from May 2006 that I wanted to share :

Kerala shaped hole in the universe

Sometime in May 2006:
The more I see of her the more I haven’t. The more I think of her, the more I yearn.

Somewhere, near Calicut on the way to Cochin, there is a bridge over a river ( of whose name I don’t know). It is somewhere near the outer ring road, just after the bridge the river splits into two before rejoining forming a palmful of island.
It is full of different variety of trees, mostly coconut trees, growing all over one another – dense, green and tall.

I wish I had taken a picture, but driving at 90 Kms per hour in the lashing rain was effortful as such. To stop and take out the camera, was not only more cumbersome but also would have surely delayed the trip – which meant more exposure to monsoon rain, cold and damp.

So I let it go. But obviously it didn’t let me go.
